COVID-19 has hit a lot of businesses hard, with many restaurants and retailers closing for good. However, Fusion East Caribbean Soul Restaurant in East New York is succeeding against the odds. Fusion East owner, Andrew Walcott was live on VOICES of East New York with Nikki Lucas talking about how he’s succeeding during this time. This segment is part of the Entrepreneurship and Business Information Session of VOICES of East New York.
The discussion included information on how to start a business, opportunities for Veterans, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the launching of livestreaming jazz shows from Fusion East, the expansion of their second location to be opened in Brownsville, partnership with Achievement First entrepreneurship program for middle school students and more. Watch the show for some great information and motivation.

Great interview – I learned a lot!
I recently started working for a new nonprofit organization that is planning a health and wellness campaign for East New York that will launch later this year. Before we launch, we would love to speak with Mr. Walcott about joining our efforts to improve health outcomes in East New York, so thanks very much for providing his contact info.
Sincerely,
