Details on City’s Request for Proposals For Lot Development in East New York

As reported previously on EastNewYork.com, the city has created an RFP (Request for Proposal) for development of the Dinsmore-Chestnut lot in East New York.  Here are some more details on the RFP.

The Site is owned by the City of New York and is located within Community District 5 on Block 4142, Part of Lot 32, which is bounded by Atlantic Avenue, Chestnut Street, and Dinsmore Place.  The Project must be affordable housing that meets the economic needs of the community and the city as a whole, and affirmatively furthers fair housing.  Affordable housing may include multi-family, senior, and/or supportive housing.  The Development must also include quality commercial and/or community facility uses.

Interested parties that choose to download the RFP using the link below must provide their contact information.  Only those who provide their contact information will receive updates or additional communications regarding the RFP.  The RFP contains a detailed description of the development program, requirements, guidelines, eligibility requirements, selection process, and submission requirements.

A pre-submission conference will be held on Wednesday, January  11th, 2:30 PM at HPD, 100 Gold Street, Room 1-R, New York, NY 10038.  HPD strongly recommends that interested Applicants attend this pre-submission conference.  Those planning on attending the conference must RSVP at the follow this link – Dinsmore-Chestnut RSVP Pre-Submission Conference

All proposals are due in hand no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017.  Detailed instructions are provided in the RFP.
