For the past 43 years, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival has been the summer-long outdoor concert and performance series that celebrates talent from around the world and around the block, presenting global music icons, legendary jazz artists, chart-topping indie bands, gravity-defying dance troupes, large-scale film projects and public art installations. The Festival has become one of the city’s foremost cultural attractions and a beloved summer tradition.

The 2021 season of the free festival will kick off at 7:30pm on Saturday, July 31st (doors open at 6:00pm) with R&B singer/songwriter Ari Lennox as the headliner, Brooklyn-based rapper and poet KAMAUU and Jamaican-bred R&B artist Nesta as openers.

The BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival will take place at reduced capacity in accordance with New York State’s COVID-19 compliance policy and CDC guidelines. While the Festival will remain free of charge, RSVPs will be required, social distancing will be implemented, and either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will need to be shown; however, these terms remain subject to change.

Sunday August 1 (1-3pm) – Alchemy; Trash to Art. Artist Dominika Ksel leads us on a contemporary experience of finding and building art from ‘Trash”

Saturday August 7 (12-4pm) – Off the Wall; Mural Workshop. Community Garden Mural Painting with artist Salpy Samerdijian.

Saturday August 21 (1-3pm) – Balloon Smash; Fluid Painting. Explore new painting techniques with artist Barbara Oakley.

Sunday August 29 (1-3pm) – Rock and Roll Garden Party – Paint a rock forest garden with artist Maureen Catbagan

GREEN / ARTS LIVE NYC is made possible with support from New York Community Trust and Con Edison’s Arts Al Fresco Series, administered by City Parks Foundation in collaboration with the Horticultural Society of New York, New Yorkers for Culture & Arts, NYC Department of Transportation, OpenCultureWORKS, and Street Lab.

TruLove Sports is excited to support young athletes as they experience an exciting and FREE introduction to Track in East New York, Brooklyn. This program is based on fundamental development and exposure to the sport.  Kids will learn about the technical, tactical and mental aspects of the sport, while competing in a variety of fun running events and activities.
