I am inquiring about affordable housing for a disabled spouse. At this time in my life me and my husband are disabled. I had a major collision accident on 7/18/19 I had two surgeries pending another one. My husband had two major surgeries due to a spine disease. We both are disabled, but my husband is mobility at this time. Of course our situations affected our credit. Can we still apply an get a affordable apartment. I live in Brownsville, which is a very high crime area. My husband is being harassed by young men who don’t even live over here. 911 was called by me and it’s really nothing they can do.

I just received my voucher today 8/28/2021 should my housing specialist send over this information or should I bring it in with me. He told me the person working with me is out until 8/3/21
Hi Lynee. EastNewYork.com only announces when housing is available and other information. You need to contact the agency that called you for the apartment. If you received a voucher then look in that mail to see if there is a telephone number for you to call.
