Brooklyn Queens Land Trust Summer Jazz Series Through July 28th

Brooklyn, NY, June 5, 2018– This jazz summer series, held in community gardens throughout Brooklyn and Queens, with music performed by noted artists from the two boroughs.  Six outdoor concerts take place on Saturdays, beginning June 16 through July 28.  The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust sponsors the events and programmed by the Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium.  Visit CentralBrooklynJazz.org for the time, location, and line-up of performances.

The Brooklyn Queens Land Trust is a not-for-profit organization, incorporated to manage 34 community gardens in New York City.  These open spaces provide an opportunity for people to work cooperatively, as well as engage in educational and cultural activities.  The company’s office, located in a Brooklyn YWCA building, near Atlantic Terminal, at 30 Third Avenue.

Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium (CBJC) is an educational and programming tax-exempt company, incorporated in 1999.  CBJC is an amalgam of aficionados, entertainment venues, musicians, faith-based institutions, and community organizations. Over the past nineteen (19) years CBJC has presented an annual spring festival, established a Brooklyn Jazz Hall of Fame & Museum™, and produced yearly programs that feature local jazz talent. CBJC is committed to preserving, promoting and supporting live music within the underserved communities of Brooklyn.
