Located on the Thomas Jefferson High School Campus, the Performing Arts and Technology High School (PATHS) has provided exceptional dance opportunities to their students since 2005, while under the guidance of Marcella Jones. During the week, you can find students participating in an array of dance styles, such as Modern, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, African, and Majorette. Room 100 is where you will find the talented dancers, always working to polish their craft.

In 2024 PATHS Dance will be embarking on a 10-day trip to Basel, Switzerland, where they will train under their big brother in dance–Armando Braswell. PATHS students will study under Armando at his school in Basel, Switzerland, The Braswell Arts Center. Armando and his wife Lisa founded the school in 2017.
Armando is a Brooklynite and an alum of LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and The Juilliard School, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Armando’s prestigious dance journey includes performances at Ballet Theatre Munich, Ballet Theatre Basel, and Gauthier Dance Stuttgart.
Early in his dance career, Armando met Mrs. Jones who introduced him to dance in middle school. Armando affectionately refers to her as his Dance Mother. In 2022, Armando came taught a Master Class at PATHS and the idea to bring Brooklyn to Basel, Switzerland began to form.
PATHS Dance students are eager to begin this once-in-a-lifetime journey and they need the help of their community, family, and friends. Funds are currently being raised for travel expenses related to their trip to The Braswell Arts Center.
Be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time for only $15.00. If you wait and buy tickets at the event, the price will rise to $20.00.
