Live Jazz and R&B are back at Fusion East Caribbean Soul Restaurant in East New York, beginning Tuesday December 21, 2021. Dave Griffin and his band will be performing two sets starting at 7pm.
“This is a great time of the year”, stated Andrew Walcott, owner of Fusion East. “The mood throughout New York City is festive during the holiday season, so for East New Yorkers or people shopping next door at the Gateway Mall, there’s no better way to enjoy yourself than with live music, good food, drinks and great vibes with a good group of people, without going downtown or to the city.”
There is no cover charge to enjoy the live music. The purchase of dinner, appetizers and drinks help support the musicians.
Fusion East started its live jazz series in 2019 as the first and only location in East New York to showcase live music, which received great reviews from patrons and musicians alike. The pandemic put a halt to their in-restaurant jazz series but it did not stop Walcott from bringing food to those who needed. Walcott immediately put his brand new Fusion East food truck on the road to feed hospital workers and frontline workers during the height of the pandemic, and the truck continues to feed people throughout East Brooklyn.
Now that so many people are vaccinated and testing is readily available, bringing live music back to Fusion East during the holiday season makes sense.
Fusion East is located at 1179 Elton St., just one block from the entrance to the Gateway Mall. which is a quick walk for holiday shoppers. The area is also known for the development of its brand new buildings and homes.

To keep everyone safe Fusion East is following COVID the protocol set by New York. Patrons should show their vaccination card (physical or digital).
