Join These CenterLight Online Art Projects Intended To Prevent Social Isolation and Depression

Posted By NYC Newswire

This week we offer two art programs for encouraging creative expression led by CenterLight Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Engaging in things that we like to do and interacting with other people makes us happy, keeps our brain sharp, lowers our blood pressure, and contributes to overall mental and physical health. On Monday April 5th at 11 am TRS Ariana leads an art and cooking project in both English and Spanish. On Tuesday April 6th at 1 pm TRS Jen leads a rainbow Q-tip art project.

Arianna and Jen’s art programs, as well as our weekly games, music, literature, and spiritual programs are part of CenterLight’s “Fun and Wellness at Home,” a series of online activities intended to help prevent social isolation and depression. These educational, therapeutic, and recreational programs are provided virtually, for attendees to enjoy in the comfort and safety of their homes.
