Free Trees at The Marcy Library On Saturday, October 27th!

Posted By Pia Fergus

“Brooklyn Public Library is partnering with New York Restoration Project to give away hundreds of free trees to New Yorkers this Fall. We’ve quite the variety — including apple, pear, persimmon, sour cherry, redbud, ceder and serviceberry trees!

To pick up a free tree, you must agree to:

-plant in one of the five boroughs;
-keep trees properly watered and maintained;
-and plant your tree in the ground of your yard or community garden and NOT along streets or in city parks.”
