East New York Reads Diversity Through Literacy Fair At The New Lots Library On Friday, March 9th

Posted By Pia Fergus

“This is an event designed to encourage higher literacy rates among the youth population of East New York, as well as to foster community involvement. Young children will participate in a variety of arts and crafts activities that celebrate the importance of diversity, and to find ways in which children and parents can talk about diversity at home. Parents will receive resource kits with programming and discussion ideas. Councilwoman Inez Barron will also visit the New Lots branch as a guest speaker to read to the children.”
