Global Independent hip hop artist Kota the Friend, who is from Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, recently launched the PROTEA clothing collection, as part of his PROTEA album drop. Kota’s company, FLTBYS (Flight Boys), and Dinner Service NY, filmed a portion of the PROTEA short-documentary at Choice Market restaurant in Clinton Hill. Portions of the video were filmed at Ft. Greene Park and at the FLTBYS studio in DUMBO.

Kota stated, “Choice Market is one of my favorite spots to eat when I’m back in Clinton Hill. When Dinner Service asked if there was a restaurant that I would like to include in the short documentary I immediately thought of Choice Market. The owners and staff are all cool people, and everything on their menu is on point.”

It probably doesn’t hurt that Choice Market includes Kota the Friend’s tracks in their playlist rotation, including songs that contain verses about Clinton Hill.
