Nikki Lucas, the District Leader of East New York, and huge supporter of seniors, will be the special guest host for the Diabetes Awareness Health Fair, Presented by AlphaCare, in partnership with Borough President Eric Adams. This event, which is concentrating on seniors, will be held at the Brooklyn Sports Club in East New York Thursday June 22 from 10am-3pm.
The event will include healthy refreshments, a cooking demonstration, exercise session, the AlphaCare Wheel of Health game, and loads of resources and giveaways. We encourage local seniors and senior centers to come out to this great event.
You get a chance to talk to Nikki Lucas about senior initiatives in East New York, and Ellen Edwards, who is a candidate for judge, and the Brooklyn DA’s office will be there to discuss legal advocacy for seniors. AlphaCare will also answer questions that you might have about Managed Long Term Care.
Resource tables include Access-A-Ride, Brookdale Hospital, MetCouncil, and more.
